Charlotte studied at the Royal Academy Schools and Gloucester College of Art. Her work is based on keen observation and adherence to structure, tone and good drawing. She has won many awards including the Cecil Jospe Prize, New English Art Club and the Richard Ford Travel Award to Madrid. She also won prizes for good academic drawing, still life and portrait painting whilst studying at the Royal Academy. She was also twice awarded the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant.

She has shown at numerous exhibitions in London and is a regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy Summer Show.

Charlotte lives with her husband, the painter Saied Dai, near Bath.
