Born 1937 in London, studied at Wimbledon School of Art and the Royal College of Art, after which he spent many years directing commercials and corporate films. He resumed painting in 1991. His work is highly distinctive and possesses an unworldly, surreal quality with a playful sense of mystery, occasionally bordering on the abstract.
