Ken is one of the most distinguished and popular figurative painters working in Britain today. He was born in 1932 and studied at the Hornsey College of Art (1949-53) and the Royal College of Art (1955-58). He won a British Council Scholarship to Florence, (1958-59)
He has won many awards, and there have been numerous one-man exhibitions in Britain and overseas. Until fairly recently he regularly held solo exhibitions with this gallery. He is now contracted to the Richard Green Gallery in London.
He was appointed Official Artist in Northern Ireland by the Imperial War Museum, 1973-78. Between 1973 and 1980 he worked with the British Army in Germany, Cyprus, Oman, Hong Kong, Nepal, Canada, Belize and Brunei.
There have been many distinguished portrait commissions, and his work has been purchased by numerous public art galleries.
Ken is best known for his studios scenes with nude and his Cornish harbour and beach scenes.
