Established in the Cotswolds in 1972, the Brian Sinfield Gallery is one of the leading galleries outside London. We specialise in twentieth century, contemporary and traditional British Paintings, as well as occasionally abstract and semi-abstract work and some sculpture. Up to eight exhibitions are held each year for which illustrated catalogues are available. Catalogues can also be purchased from past exhibitions – see our publications page.

The gallery also runs an art brokerage service, selling (normally higher value) paintings on client’s behalf as an alternative to selling at auction.

We are in easy reach of London (1 ½ -2 hrs) and Heathrow (1 ½ hrs). The nearest train station is Charlbury on the Hereford line from Paddington.

About the area:
The North Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, compromises the main market towns of Burford, Stow-on-the –Wold, Broadway, Moreton-in-the-Marsh and Chipping Camden, all very old and steeped in history. Collectively they contain the highest number of serious art galleries and antique shops outside London. Members of the Cotswold Art and Antique Dealers’ Association (CADA) open their doors for a special month of exhibitions every October, an event that attracts buyers from all over the world.

There are many hotels and B&B establishments. Burford, itself, which has many ancient buildings, and some famous hotels such at the Lamb Inn, the Bay Tree, the Bull and the Angel, all with good restaurants and, of course, there is the famous Huffkins tea shop.
